Brian Nieves
Chief Operating Officer - COO

Primary Duties:  Business Development, Community Outreach, Physician Liason

Brian is the newest member of Dr. Hargroder's MGB Team. Brian has extensive experience in business development and community outreach. Aside from being a Business Development Specialist and our Chief Operating Officer, Brian has twenty years combined service in the U.S. Navy and our Missouri State Legislature. Brian & his wife Julie have three children, Alexandra, Moriah and Victor.
Carla Hubenthal
Patient Care Coordinator

Primary Duties: Initial contact with patients, assist potential patients by answering questions and providing emotional support as they explore the option of weight loss surgery.

Carla Hubenthal is our Patient Care Advocate and the person you are most likely to talk to during your MGB Journey. Carla's life was dramatically changed almost a decade ago when she had her MGB done. Carla is the Founder of a personal and professional development company called Sleeping Giant Within. Her experience teaching and training people to maximize their own potential has made her the perfect choice to conduct our educational seminars and walk beside you through each phase of the MGB process.

Robin Cearnal
Doctor - Patient Coordinator

Primary Duties:  Assist patients with preparation for their scheduled surgery date, assist Dr. Hargroder with day to day affairs in his surgical practice.

Robin Cearnal is our Physician's Advocate and Dr. Hargroder's longest serving Team Member.  Robin is the person who will guide you each step of the way in completing the requirements needed by Dr. Hargroder. Robin understands how important it is to help you accomplish any and all requirements in a timely fashion and will help you "stay on track" as you complete your check list leading up to the date of your procedure. When Robin gives you the Green Light, you are ready to have your procedure and about to experience the life changing benefits of a successful MGB!

Tonya Williams
Office Coordinator

Primary Duties:  Front desk receptionist, appointment scheduling, office organization

Tonya is our “Do it ALL Person” on the MGB Team and is the person who will most likely greet you when you come to our office. Tonya is responsible for making sure all aspects of our office operation are handled in a timely, courteous and professional manner. Tonya came to our team with a combined fifteen years of experience in medical assisting and administration. She is a lifelong resident of the Joplin area which makes her a handy resource for our out of town patients.
